Jori Hulkkonen was born and raised in a small town named Kemi situated in the north of Finland, population of 20,000. He is extremely respected in Nordic countries for his pioneering status for his love of music and his involvement in making it known. Since the early 80s, his musical influences have been on the side of electronic music, quite an eclectic style for a 10-year-old boy growing up in a period still marked by the seal of the Cold War. At the end of the 1980s, Jori's passion for electronic music was reinforced when he discovered its most abstract and minimal part: techno from Detroit and House Music from Chicago. As an excellent DJ, he played in the best clubs and festivals in Europe.
