CLOUDS is an ambient album by RAC. The 17-track collection, out February 28, 2025 on Battlestation Records, was written as the artist, née André Allen Anjos, experienced a series of significant life events, including, most profoundly, approaching fatherhood.
“The anticipation, the massive changes that come with becoming a parent, and the weight of responsibility were all overwhelming,” says Anjos. “In the best way possible.”
After limited releases of “Sonhar” and “Antecipação” in 2023, Anjos found himself composing a growing body of work. “My creative output gravitated toward more simple, serene music, serving as a counterpoint to the turbulence in my personal life. This direction just felt right.”
CLOUDS is the latest addition to RAC’s growing body of instrumental work, including 2019’s Closer EP and 2015’s Master Spy OST, and will be released on limited, 180g vinyl in collaboration with Diggers Factory.

Based in Portland, Oregon, RAC (né: André Anjos) rose to prominence while at college by remixing iconic artists such as Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Lana Del Rey, and Phoenix. Attracting the attention of Interscope Records, he released his debut LP Strangers in 2014, which featured collaborations with Tegan & Sara, St. Lucia and more. EGO followed three years later on Counter Records, becoming the first album to be released on the Ethereum network, and featured Rivers Cuomo, Rostam and others.
In 2020, RAC released, BOY , his third album, and the accompanying $TAPE project, widely considered to be the first successful music-based NFT. The album features the hit collaboration “Passion” with Louis the Child. Launching his own $RAC token alongside his albums, Forbes, Billboard, and Rolling Stone have all recognised his expertise and pioneering work within the Web3 space.
RAC’s music has been streamed over a billion times and has resulted in performances at Coachella, Corona Capital, and Lollapalooza.
