About the project: LAST NAME: POPE is independently released and a culmination of four years of hard work. A fusion of funk, soul, R&B, and mellow house, the record delves into profound themes including religion, Blackness, masculinity, and queerness, among others.

Am I not honouring my mother and father, as the Ten Commandments state, because I embody both masculine and feminine energy? These are the questions I wanted to explore in this record.”
