Description

13 Days in Japan, the first original post-mortem album by the famous composer Francis Lai which includes the last work composed, only a few days before his death (for the first time on a disc).
Recorded in Japan by its official orchestra (the Francis Lai Orchestra, with among others, the international trumpeter Claude Egéa (Michel Legrand, ZAZ, Charles Aznavour…), the legendary bassist Tony Bonfils (Quincy Jones, Paul Mauriat, Quincy Jones…), the drummer Christophe Dubois (Calogero…)) this new album also brings together new versions of the creator’s essential works.

Francis Lai is the French film music composer who has sold the most records internationally, notably with the successes of “Love Story”, “Bilitis” and “A Man and a Woman”.
International hits in the USA, Germany, United Kingdom, South America but also in Korea and Japan where the Francis Lai Orchestra recorded this tribute album “13 Jours au Japon” (13 days in Japan) only a few months ago during the tour where they visited Tokyo, Osaka, Nagoya, etc.

A limited edition Vinyl including the composer’s cult titles including the digital hit with 100 million streams “La Leçon Particulière”, “Concerto pour la fin d’un amour”, or even five songs and even for the first his unpublished posthumous work: “The Final Dot”.
