After several years in LA fronting bands of his own, and a cliched journey with alcoholism, multi-instrumentalist Jonathan Bates decided to take a break from the industry and started to make music under the name Big Black Delta. This was a time when UFOs were still a stoner campside conversation killer. The black triangles in the sky are the number one reported type of sightings. It also fits with his obsession of sacred geometry. "Making music for people while they figure out their own answers to things. Or not. I'm not your dad."
