Moonlust Demos contains the experiments and sketches that would later become the acclaimed album 'Moonlust', released in 2015 by New York-based Sacred Bones Records.
Initially released only as a short, limited cassette, Moonlust Demos existed only for on the few people who got a copy on some of the two European tours the band did in 2016.
Recorded over the course of 2014 in Santiago, Chile, mostly in a home studio that Ives set up in a rented room, it shows the early stages of production, composition and style development that make Moonlust such a unique album. The band's classics such as If I Could Find You and Baby, I'm going away, in their rawness, show a certain search for sound and emotion here. And in tracks like 19 de Octubre 2014 and Sabado23BaseBitch, you can hear the experiments that have shaped the evolution of their sound from the more psychedelic rock sound of Noctuary (2013).
Now, after appearing on digital platforms in 2022, it is coming to vinyl for the first time via Diggers Factory.
