How I came up with the concept for Holyfield was me being born and raised in Holyoke Massachusetts then moving to Springfield Massachusetts Where I spent majority of my life both places had such an impact on me growing up. They still do. I wanted to show people where I’m from and what goes on where I’m from. As I got older my music matured. I want to put out a different type of work to show how my beats progressed and my music has grown. I had to dig deep, I had to go back to the beginning to where I wasn’t DoomDaWiz. Is that I handpicked each MC and I told them my story and the story I wanted told and they put it in their words. This album shows you where I’m from, what I have seen, and the life experiences that make me who I am today. When I ask people to listen to the album I’m not asking them to listen to another rap album I’m asking them to listen to my story. This entire album was produced by me an executive produced by Kool DJ Nez. My favorite tracks are all of them, Because each track Has my soul deeply embedded in them.
