To celebrate the 10th anniversary of their famous album Nuit de Rêve, SCRATCH MASSIVE had their album remixed by the cream of French and international remixers. 10 remixers: AME (Germany), THOMAS SCHUMACHER (Germany), MRD (Norway), MANFREDAS (Lithuania), THE POPULISTS (France), TURBOTITO (USA), BEZIER (USA), NEWEM (USA), PETER DALLAS (France) and DOELD (Finland), got down to the 10 original tracks.
A high-flying Tribute, at the height of their New Wave and electro opus, now unquestionably cult album.
SCRATCH MASSIVE is a French duo made up of MAUD GEFFRAY & SEBASTIEN CHENUT On their album Nuit de rêve, they called on the vocal collaborations of JIMMY SOMERVILLE, DANIEL AGUST (GUSGUS), KOUDLAM and CHLOE.
The 10 years anniversary Album opens with a first remix, mental and robotic, of Pleine Lune by THE POPULISTS, then comes MRD, the Norwegian techno producer, who gives the Waiting for a Sign Ft KOUDLAM its big dark and terribly catchy then it is the German duo AME, which brilliantly tackles Take me there ft JIMMY SOMERVILLE. Lithuanian producer MANFREDAS hypnotizes us with a percussive and progressive version of Break Away, while TURBOTITO, based in Los Angeles, warms up famous Paris featuring DANIEL AGUST [GUSGUS].
THOMAS SCHUMACHER takes us to Berlin's nocturnal cellars, offering a techno, raw and solid version of Nuit de mes Rêves. It is then Closer in feat with CHLOE which sees itself revisited by DOELD in a dark and quasi-fantastic vein. San Francisco producer BEZIER takes care of reminding us how the universe of this album is borrowed from new wave and the best of 80's soundtracks, extending the Morodorian pleasure of Golden Dreams. PETER DALLAS and NEWEM reserve the right to take us on a final tour with spatial and experimental versions of Follow Me and Secrets.
A decade later, the strength of the cult album SCRATCH MASSIVE is intact to celebrate this 10 years anniversary!
