An Indie Folk Album in 5 languages and 4 dialects!
...involving more than 20 musicians from all over Europe …from Iceland to Andalusia.
The main members of this project are from Spain, Italy and Germany and are based in Munich, Berlin, Barcelona and Ravenna.
We decided to write an album in 5 languages and 4 dialects as our way to reflect who we are and where we come from. Each song also respects the cultural and linguistic background of the language it is written in.
On “de molinos y gigantes” we work with gypsies from Jerez de la Frontera (Spain) where flamenco comes from.
Instruments and Styles:
You’ll hear elements and traces of Tango, Flamenco, Waltz, Chanson, reggae and even hip hop in these songs perfectly blending into a unique Folk album.
From Brass instruments/winds (Clarinet, tuba, trumpet, saxophone) to various string instrument (Cello, violin, double bass..), Ukulele, mandolin, slide guitar to exotic percussions (Hapi, Surdu, tablas,…) to electronic beats.
