Three voices together in harmony – those of Robin Finetto, David Lawton and Evie Tarr – form the basis of Preen’s sound and songwriting. Together they intertwine the rawness and melancholy of 90s alternative folk, think Elliott Smith, Bright Eyes and Belle and Sebastian, with the playfulness of late-60s melodic pop, think the Carpenters, Harry Nilsson and The Beatles. Since forming in London in 2020, they have become staples of the city's indie scene and have toured across the UK and in Europe with Harley Henson (bass) and George Purnell (drums). In early 2026 they teamed up with producer Morgan Fraser Jones to record their debut album From Way Down Here I See The Sky at RAK Studios, which they plan to release in April 2027 on Globe Town Records.
