Over the past three years, multi-instrumentalist and producer Ben Jones has quietly built a world of his own through The Mixtapes — a sprawling, deeply musical series that captures his restless creativity and love of groove-led, genre-blurring production. Originally released in three instalments — The Mixtapes Vol. 1, 2 & 3 — the project now arrives in its definitive form on vinyl: 35 tracks spanning three years of writing, recording and experimentation.

Drawing on influences from soul, jazz, hip-hop and cinematic instrumental music, Jones approaches each track like a sketchbook entry — ideas captured quickly, instinctively and with a focus on feel.
