Anderson Tombini is a musician, singer, songwriter, and DJ from Florianópolis, Brazil. After three decades of activity in his hometown, he began a new chapter in 2025 by moving to Liverpool, UK.
His debut album, Shaolin (digital release at the end of 2025, vinyl in 2026), is much inspired by 70s and 80s Brazilian rock and explores themes of distance, silence and memory, with songs written in both Portuguese and English.
The first single, “Shaolin,” released in October 2025, sets the confessional tone that shapes the album in both lyrics and sound. The second single, “Every Silence,” a collaboration with English singer-songwriter Anna Silvers, brings a more soulful and contemporary atmosphere, marked by layered vocal arrangements.
In recent years, Anderson has been deeply involved in Beatles tribute projects, appearing multiple times at the International Beatleweek Festival and performing dozens of shows at the Cavern Club, as well as other iconic Liverpool venues such as the Tung Auditorium and the Jacaranda Club. These experiences not only strengthened his bond with Liverpool, but also deepened his devotion to the roots of rock music.
Anderson’s first solo album is built on organic textures and predominantly acoustic arrangements. Recorded at Coastal Sound — a studio that has hosted renowned names from the Liverpool scene such as Echo & The Bunnymen and The Zutons — the album features audio engineering by James Arter and mastering by Brazilian engineer Adriano Daga (Latin Grammy Award Winner).
Anderson plays drums on every track. Guest musicians include Rodrigo Meireles (acoustic guitars), a São Paulo native based in the UK; Santa Catarina-born pianist Alexandre Green; Liverpool multi-instrumentalist Chris Vernon (bass on four tracks); São Paulo-born Adal Henrique (bass on “Vento de Junho” and “Canção Interestelar”); and English guitarist Dave Gardner, who has previously played with The Kinks (acoustic and electric guitars on “Vento de Junho”). The album also features a special appearance by Anna Silvers, co-writer of “Every Silence.”
