Information

Description

The project “KATRYNOISE (Radio Katryna)” first came to life at the end of 2023, initially under the name “AMORE”, and later transformed into “Radio Katryna” during the electroacoustic composition course at the “Giuseppe Verdi” Conservatory in Turin.
The first version, “AMORE” (2023), represents an open-hearted letter, addressed both to the love we hold for ourselves and to the love we will one day feel for the people who will enter our lives. The cornerstone of this project is a poem by Cristina Campo, titled “Amore, Oggi Il Tuo Nome” (from La tigre assenza, Adelphi, 1991). The work was originally divided into two parts: “AMORE CARNALE” and “AMORE MATERNO”. The first act highlighted self-love and the kind of love one will offer others in the future, while the second act focused on the concept of motherhood, moving through its various stages: past (birth), present (self-care), and future (growth and letting go), all while maintaining a focus on the experience of a trans life.
The second version, “Radio Katryna” (2024), was born during the electroacoustic composition course and developed in a freer artistic direction, breaking away from the constraints of the previous year. It took the shape of a radio station without a defined structure. The composition was a kind of auditory chaos, not due to noise or extreme frequencies, but through its unpredictable and fragmented flow. The first part included sounds like drills, orgasms, Gregorian chants, and fireworks, while the second and final part humorously mimicked one of the classic features of radio stations: live call-ins. During these calls, characters like Rita de Crescenzo (a well-known Neapolitan TikToker) and Alda Caputo (Neapolitan TikToker/beautician) were interviewed or greeted. As you can imagine, the auditory chaos continued into this final segment. Radio Katryna touched on the rawest and most intimate aspects of AMORE, but added irony and a touch of “folk flavor” that softened the emotional intensity.
KATRYNOISE (Radio Katryna)” (2025) is the result of a conscious decision to step away from the constant need to explain or justify oneself, to bow down to the audience, or to follow the guidelines imposed by the music industry. This version stands out for its defiance, starting with the fact that it was released as a single rather than an album.
The listener is meant to experience it from beginning to end, without distractions, fully focused on the work itself. The listener should feel overwhelmed by the essence of Katryna, experiencing intense emotions, whether discomfort or a sense of well-being. What matters most is that the listener feels something deep within.
The single’s release on streaming platforms was approached with a sense of disinterest. The release date was randomly chosen by the distributor, with the attitude of someone thinking: “It’ll come out when it comes out, I don’t care.” This brought about a great sense of calm, avoiding the immediate pressure of promotion and strict scheduling. Everything simply flowed, following the course of fate.
The project carries a powerful emotional charge and addresses deeply meaningful themes: the objectification of trans bodies, the feeling of never being enough for society, the fear of death, but also the curiosity it inspires.
It also delves into the past, the feeling of being rejected, and the experience of motherhood from the perspective of a trans body.

In 2019, Francesca Imparato launched the musical project "Erauqave", bringing with her the influence of the evocative setting of the Amalfi Coast, where she has always sought to carve out a space for herself in the world and to create new horizons. Her music, steeped in light and shadow, invites listeners to immerse themselves in chiaroscuro landscapes shaped by hypnotic industrial beats and melancholic echoes of the past.
Her discography, composed of eight albums and numerous singles, represents an interconnected sonic ecosystem: a world where each track intertwines with the others, creating a coherent yet ever-evolving narrative flow. The eight Erauqave albums tell a story of inner transformation and the search for identity, where sonic experimentation blends with poetic and often introspective lyrics.
The influence of the Amalfi Coast is felt not so much in the sounds themselves, but in the atmosphere: the contrast between the dazzling light of the sea and the shadows of the cliffs finds its echo in the layered soundscapes, where industrial, ambient, and neoclassical elements coexist. The pounding, sometimes harsh beats are balanced by ethereal melodies and filtered voices, almost ghostly sounds resurfacing from a personal and collective past.
