Ghais Guevara's newest work: “The Other 2/5ths or: The Absolutely True Diary of a Part-Time Trench Baby” sees him exploring a side that some may know as “Full Goyard” and whether you’re hip to the lore or not, you’ll be sure to remember the refrains of one of the decade’s most exciting acts to grace the scene.
Not many rappers have performed at enormous venues, punk rock dive bars, and Marxist book stores - introducing: Ghais Guevara. Born and raised in North Philly amidst both guns and gang avoidance tactics, nurtured and educated using generational radical Black leftist thought, Ghais Guevara revels in the juxtapositions and narrative conflicts of his life with standout projects such as “There Will Be No Super-Slave” and “Goyard Ibn Said”. Both of which have received critical and cultural recognition from the likes of Vice, NPR, The Needle Drop and beyond for their witty and compelling lyrical navigations soundtracked by this one-man band’s beatmaking ability.
