Sweet Dreamin’, the sophomore album by Tex Crick, serves as a natural progression from his previous release, 'Live In… New York City', which debuted in 2021 on Mac's Record Label.
Tex dives deeper into themes of love and sentiment, blending heartfelt and introspective lyrics with captivating dreamlike narratives, in line with the album's title.
Recorded in the confines of his Tokyo attic studio, Crick’s versatility as a story-teller & multi-instrumentalist radiates throughout the entirety of Sweet Dreamin’.
Australia's Tex Crick writes melodic piano bedroom-pop with a soft heart and wry intelligence. Rising from small town roots on the country's south coast, he paved his way as a touring keyboardist appearing onstage with artists such as Connan Mockasin, Weyes Blood, Kirin J Callinan, John Carroll Kirby and before a chance encounter with Mac DeMarco in New York which led to the release of his solo debut Live In… New York City released on Mac’s Record Label in 2021. Crick’s latest release Droplet marks a shift to instrumental music, showcasing a series of vignettes performed on a raspy electro-mechanical keyboard that expands beyond his signature songcraft.
