“Vespro”, is a concept album that explores the dramatic consequences of the choices made throughout one’s life.

The album, entirely written in Italian, tells the story of a man who, driven by an anonymous letter that deeply disturbs him, is led on a quest to find its author.

This journey, full of torment, intertwines shadows of the past with a present filled with latent ambiguity where nothing is as it seems.

The tracks use recurring themes, similar to Wagnerian leitmotifs, associated with specific characters and story elements.

“Vespro” stands out from previous works due to a more pronounced use of analog synthesizers and a strong influence of electronic music.

While rooted in rock and progressive metal, the album showcases a strong eclecticism, ranging from the synthwave sound of tracks like “Discesa” and “Anatema”, to the rap with Western overtones in “Il processo”, and even black metal sections in the suite “La Villa”.
There are also references to folk music in “Valzer D’Inverno” and to Russian classical music, especially in the piano sections.

A work with a strong theatrical element, “Vespro” is further emphasized by the presence of various singers who portray the characters in the narrative.
