Laura White - Woman To Woman

Grammy-nominated singer/songwriter, Laura White has had a meteoric rise and the impressive vocalist will further push her career to the forefront on November 29th with the release of her long-awaited debut album ‘Woman to Woman’ an incredible record featuring 14 tracks incorporating her unique soul style, mixed and mastered by Neil Treppas.

During her songwriting career, White has worked with household names such as Rita Ora, Alicia Keys, Beverley Knight, Bugzy Malone, and so many more but now she is shining the spotlight on her own music and the result is nothing short of phenomenal.

Speaking about the album, Laura White states: “I have gigged for over half of my life. I’ve played in empty pubs and packed arenas. I’ve lived and seen it all, the ups and the downs and through it all the music has been my constant. The one thing I never lost belief or faith in. I waited so long to finally release my album, I’ve been writing and creating these songs for over a decade and amongst writing so many songs for so many other artists I prayed one day I’d get my own chance, to get one shot to get my music heard.

I’m taking my own shot and I’m so proud of releasing this record so independently, having all sold out shows, it’s been a bestselling pre-order since release and I’m so thankful to my supporters. The album is an album of real songs, authenticity, soul music crafted alongside some of the world’s greatest Songwriters/ Producers.

I became a Grammy-nominated songwriter and through that, I became lucky enough to become friends and creative partners with Toby Gad, Pam Sheyne, Cathy Dennis, EG White, Example and many more. My album has been blessed with only the best. It’s a joy for me to get these songs heard not just for myself but for them also.

Songs from ‘Strength of a Woman’, ‘Young and Beautiful’ and ‘Woman to Woman’ were songs I wrote to remember my power and fight as a woman, to remember I was capable of everything. Songs about Love and love I lost along the way in ‘You and I’, ‘What If You’re In Love’ and ‘Not Today’. Songs of family in ‘Home’ and ‘Happier’. And even me and Example making ‘Hotel’ all from different eras of my life.

It’s a body of work that tells the story of my life and instead of needing someone to tell me when it was time, I decided to trust myself and I know, it is time. I hope you love ‘Woman to Woman’ as much as I do”

‘Woman to Woman’ brings together all of Laura White’s expertise as both a singer and songwriter and working closely with one of her dearest British producer's on the whole project has created an intimacy and rawness that few albums possess these days.

Speaking about working with him on the LP, Laura says: “I have made this body of work with a producer I found and loved immediately. A musician with the most incredible ear, feel, mind, and most importantly heart in music. He made my body work come to life. Recording vocals in the middle of bustling Notting Hill and all the music parts recreated in many more wonderful places. It was such a joyous experience, and one I believe we will never forget”.
