Caleb Arredondo - Echo Sax

Caleb Arredondo is a student at The University of Oklahoma. Caleb began by sharing his self-composed saxophone pieces on social media. His unique approach of playing in an empty parking lot to utilize the natural reverb created a distinctive sound that he termed "echo sax." The initial reel, featuring Caleb in a parking lot, was a hit. He reflected on this experience, saying, "I spent probably 3 hours in an empty parking playing everything I could possibly think of in parking lot reverb." He modestly added, "this is my first reel in a long time so I don't expect much engagement with this post." Contrary to his expectations, the reel went viral, amassing over 1.4 million views (https://www.instagram.com/reel/CteTSGHAg_A/). The popularity of his "echo sax" reels continued to grow, each garnering hundreds of thousands of likes and millions of views, along with thousands of comments. This viral success paved the way for the release of his album "Echo Sax" in late October 2023.
