Two years after the release of the debut album, Ideals & Morality, Sgàile is back with a new record, Traverse The Bealach.
The story of Traverse The Bealach is that of a nomadic traveller in post-apocalyptic Scotland, trying to figure out his fate and facing the elements while travelling north, battling inner demons along the way. Thematically, the inspiration came from the events of the pandemic, humanity's ongoing battle with climate change, and a deep rooted fascination with long distance hiking.
Sgàile is a one-man project from Glasgow based metal musician Tony Dunn. Forged from the experiences of touring with Scottish Metal acts Saor, Falloch & Cnoc An Tursa, Sgàile is a melting pot of progressive metal and post rock with atmospheric black metal elements. Utilising soaring vocals and emotive guitars throughout, Sgàile elates and haunts in equal measure.
