Aluna’s sophomore solo album, MYCELiUM, solidifies her place at the forefront of dance music and as an independent solo artist completely owning her creative process, bringing together artists from diverse backgrounds representative of the future of dance music featuring collaborations with TSHA, Chris Lake, MK, Pabllo Vittar, MNEK, Jayda G, Route 94, Tchami, Preditah, Kooldrink, Walker & Royce, Kareen Lomax, and more.
The title MYCELiUM was inspired by the underground cell network that connects all energy and nutrients for plants to work together. One of the most powerful results of this network has been the healing that is born from the connection across barriers. “I was always used to being the only Black person in the room, not only on stage, but also in all of the meetings and studio sessions. To be able to work with producers who are not only Black but LGBTQ+ was the most life-affirming stage of my career" says Aluna.
