Mistral - Canal Auditif Basement - Mistral - Socks EP

Since 2010, Canal Auditif offers a quality alternative to electronic music sphere in France. The aim is simple: going beyond basic “musical categories”, putting forward new trends. Canal Auditif is a true space of sensitive and acoustic experimentations from where young and talented artists are emerging, with some of the most unusual but also the most sophisticated productions.
Since its creation, the various artists of the label have given birth to several vinyl and digital releases where original productions and collaborations with international artists are mixed.
2016 mark the launch of Basement', a new branch of the label which tends to highlight some artists with various universe, in the spirit of House Music.

For the first appearance on this new epic adventure, let's introduce a new french duo: MISTRAL .
Mistral has the wind in its sails and let itself being rocked by old House hits from the 80’s, best tracks of the UK Garage and various, mixed to the more recent productions of their era like Nicolas Jaar, Octave One or Weval and more.
Being musicians from the outset, Mistral is composed of Coco and Mathis, two alchemist in permanent conflict about the doses to respect and the source of the product.
After having travelled through the most instrumental downtempo and then music for shows and performance, they’re facing 2016 with a first EP: “Some Shoes Need Socks”. Between strings, powerful basses and House syncopated rhythms, Mistral redefine a sound space which is both tight and gliding. Some DIY basslines and pans used as snares gives you two tracks, and two remixes of these two tracks.
