Jay Sagi - Pure Nostalgia

Growing up in the city and suburbs of New York City and New Jersey is a kid built of magic. Between the punchlines, the flow and the creativity there is a parade of personalities modified into one body of the Seventeen year old, “Started at 13, 16 with a bag now”. With the release of his debut album “Pure Nostalgia” Jay Sagi has broken the barrier to what music is perceived as, “Pulling this off without much help and being in school while writing music, recording, filming, work and balancing at the same time isn't easy but somehow I just do it, I love my life and what i've been gifted with”, but there's a darker side to Jay than what you know, “Oh you think I write to beats and lyrics just fall from the sky?, nah that was a good one though”. In his opening single “INSOMNIA” for the album “Pure Nostalgia” Jay raps about not being able to fall asleep and giving the idea he was having hallucinations and Insomnia for half a year and that there are personalities in his head that won't leave him alone and is pushing him to write the things he wouldn't naturally say by implementing them in songs, “I couldn't sleep, I thought I was done writing music when I was fifteen, it's not ending anytime soon, two years of them using my hands to create this, i've been a punk and been letting people get over me for the last year and a half and they aren't going to let it slide, I write and write and write, I was so tired and now the albums completed, I love the people who love and support me, his name is jayzhaben.”
