William Bishop is a classically trained cellist & double bassist, who began exploring a keen interest in music from learning the acoustic guitar as a teenager. Writing his compositions on both guitar & piano, Bishop's performances form part of The University Of York's degree courses for their Film, Media & Television faculties.

Influenced by Laura Marling, Bob Dylan & Leonard Cohen, William pitches his sound as somewhere between Dylan and Tom Waits. Capturing a melancholy vibe alongside his strong vocals, William Bishop's uncomplicated style of guitar playing truly allows his music to come to life.

Demanding your full attention, William Bishop's songs catch all the nuance within his words & music, culminating in a culturally rich payoff.

Put on the music of William Bishop when you have the time to truly listen, you will walk away a better person.
