A creative recluse who would trap himself inside his room tapping into the sounds of late 90’s hip-hop, COMMi$$iON escaped into music soon after losing his father at the young age of thirteen.

It was an escape slash therapy that soon evolved into a passion. A passion that grew into an overall palette of creativity as he entered the Detroit hip-hop scene designing graphics at the age of sixteen.

From there he would go on to establish Sparkhop, a hip-hop blog/record label in the ’00s receiving 100,000+ organic hits a month at its peak. He also helped organize Sparkfest, a three-year 40+ act Michigan-based hip-hop festival that finished its run at the legendary St. Andrews Hall.

Nowadays he remains an active voice in the Detroit hip-hop scene as the chief editor for the state’s longest-running hip-hop website DetroitRap.com. He also signed his first publishing deal in 2019 when he became a part of AGiLE SOCiETY based out of Studio 221B in Oak Park, MI.

Fast forward to today and the Detroit-based emcee has begun unleashing the first chapters of his grand story. His debut studio album “GROWiNG UP” delivers a cinematic introduction to the story of a young COMMi$$iON and sets the foundation for more tales to come.
