LONDON based Producer DARGZ debut LP features collaborations with some of London’s best new wave of jazz musicians including Mercury Prize nominated Moses Boyd and Charlie Stacey (Yussef Dayes Trio). This extremely limited run features an exclusive remix of ‘Lou’s Tune’ by Detroit House DJ Tammy Lakiss as well as a vinyl only extended ‘Lou’s Tune’
Entitled “Happiness”, the 12 track album (+1 bonus track) is a genre bending mix of the 90’s Hip Hop DARGZ grew up loving in New York City blended with the pulsing sounds of London’s thriving jazz scene.
The album is bookended by tunes dedicated to his wife Lou and newborn daughter Annie, “Happiness” is all about love: Love for family, love for music, love for his cities of London and New York.
DARGZ, a New York City native, brings the cities hip hop flavour to the current vibrant London jazz scene with his genre bending eclectic tunes. Residing in London, DARGZ has collaborated with some of the cities finest up and coming jazz talent including the Mercury Prize nominated drummer Moses Boyd and pianist Charley Stacey (Yussef Dayes Trio). As a touring musician DARGZ has performed alongside Vampire Weeekend, Haim, and Interpol.
