Reviews

« Big fan of Eddie, this is the Vinyl Story I was waiting for! »

Thank you for finally paying the tribute that this singer-guitarist deserves. His influence is underestimated by the general public but known by guitarists... the comic book is up to the mark and fills me up. Thank you for all this.

Description

Eddie-BD-JAZZ-3

On 17 April 1960, a hired car was taking Eddie Cochran and his friend Gene Vincent back to London for their return flight to the USA when it swerved off the road and hit an electricity pole. Gene suffered slight injuries but Eddie would die in hospital only hours later. He was 22 years old yet already had a memorable career behind him thanks to records as remarkable and famous as “C’mon Everybody,” “Something Else” and “Summertime Blues.” Who knows what might have become of this genius of a singer, guitarist and composer if he hadn’t been struck down at the height of his glory?
In pictures and music, Rodolphe and Max Cabanes tell us the story of a shooting star.
