Description

This time, no invitation card, the address is well known. “Second Souffle” aligns twelve local titles in the logical continuity of the first opus. We can hear a unifying folk with hippie incantations ("3 Days In Amsterdam") or finely spiced country extracts ("The Last Days Of Gram Parsons", "Cul De Sac", the more rock "Thank God I'm a Country Girl ”), flights of brass always reminiscent of good old Calexico (“ Le Second Souffle ”,“ Le Grand Départ ”,“ Les Terres Brunes ”), an acoustic pop with a light and touching melancholy (“ River Child ” , “Petite Angliche”, “To a Friend”), even a bit of folklore (“Un Beau Jour Pour Mourir”). So, just long enough for a few well-inspired walks, we find ourselves asking where the room is, just to put a few things there that we had, out of prudence, left in the trunk of the car. It's like that in La Maison Tellier, you know when you're going in, but never when you're going to leave. If only that could be the case with everyone …
