Description

‘Absence’, the debut album by feelswithcaps, will be available physically for the first time ever, in a highly limited edition of beautiful pink vinyl. Featuring such diverse tracks as pop anthem ‘Drains’ and the magnetic ‘Coexist’, the album showcases the band’s bolder sound. Thematically, a lot of the songs are about relationships and romance pain and struggling with the world when you’re growing up through your twenties. It’s a collection of songs that have been written over a long period of time: some at feelswithcaps’ home in Helsinki, one in New York after spending hours laying in the music video room of a Björk exhibition and others in London where singer Sofi lived for a year, a bit culture shocked and deep in feelings. The music is a unique mix of pop melodies and space/fusion/house elements.

Each vinyl will be hand-numbered and comes with a personal note from the band.

feelswithcaps is an alt-pop band hailing from Helsinki, Finland. The band consists of singer and songwriter Sofi Meronen, keyboardist Mikael Myrskog and drummer and producer Aleksi Kinnunen. feelswithcaps' songs have a signature sound both melancholic and catchy, with hypnotic electronic beats and dance-y synths - the band describes their sound as 'dancing through melancholy landscapes'.

After having released their debut EP Butterflies, feelswithcaps played Helsinki's celebrated Flow Festival the same year. In 2020, they released their long-awaited debut album 'Absence', including their smash ‘Drains’ which got picked up by Spotify’s Fresh Finds, i-D Magazine, MTV and London’s Soho Radio.
