Originally conceived as a pseudonym, the Polymar moniker was intended as a new workspace for Kel McKeown aka Kelpe to explore a more minimal and meditative sound, and an opportunity to work with more expansive durations and soundscapes. In 2018, Kelpe released a series of tracks which were designed to follow on from each other, with each track allocated a name corresponding to the alphabet. Here, on ‘A Polymar Compendium’, McKeown has remixed, re-edited and re-worked the tracks into a coherent double album format, and also composed three bonus tracks which close out the sequence.
Now listeners have a chance to own A Polymar Compendium on vinyl for the first time. The first three sides of vinyl correspond to each original EP, and the final side contains three bonus tracks.
