Composed of Basile Ferriot (drums), Benjamin Jarry (electric bass) and Julien Letallec (electric guitar), Moesgaard is a post-rock band located in Nantes in the early 2000s. The trio built an original instrumental repertoire, characterized by both noise and ethereal production, by rhythmic and complex structures. He performs a dozen times in public and shares the stage with bands such as Moller Plesset (Rennes) and Battles (USA). In 2004, Moesgaard records his self-titled album and then separates soon after.
"We were very happy with the recording, but less of the mixing that was done at the time. We recovered the sessions and our friend and sound engineer Benoît Courribet finally remixed the entire disc, which now sounds as close to what we wanted. This album is the only testimony of our existence. "
It is this demanding work that the Dissociation Association label has decided to share and make known today.
Founded in 2009, the Association Dissociation is a french collective that aims to create and broadcast music and other multidisciplinary artistic works. The association became a label in 2018 and released a first disc 'Double Bind' (classic/contemporary minimalist) by Le Faux Ensemble (feb 2018) and now ’Moesgaard' (noise math rock) in June 2019.
