A founder of the electro-pop duo Aeroplane, The Magician struck gold with Magic Tape One after the pair decided to go their separate ways. Created as an outlet for The Magician to impart solo influence on the music scene, the project took off and was followed by early releases such as the 2011 multi-platinum remix of Lykke Li’s “I Follow Rivers.” Further massive pop collaborations followed with the likes of Chromeo and Clean Bandit and record deals with Parlophone/Warner Records.
10 years and countless club floors and festival stages later the Magician continues to steadily influence the scene he holds so dear. Notable performances include Coachella and Primavera Sound Festival, HideoutCroatia, EDC Las Vegas, Warung in Brazil, Printworks London, Trouw in Amsterdam, Zouk in Singapore and many more . While 2020 kept The Magician grounded due to covid-19, he still found time to release his two track “Renaissance” EP in May on POTION Records, and follow up bangers such as "Hippies", "Life" in collaboration with Wu-Oh, and the most recent "So Naïve".
The Magician has long-since established himself as one of the dance music industry's most prized contributors. Magic Tape 100 further cements his position as an esteemed producer with deep ties to the electronic music community and an unfaltering ability to dazzle.
