Versatile guitar hero Cory Wong has recently released his new solo album "The Lucky One" where he showcases his diverse chops across 12 tracks, enlisting several other virtuoso musicians in the process.
Wong said of the new project:
"Most of the albums I've made have all been recorded live in a room or on the set of my YouTube variety show. This time around I wanted to have a more controlled and isolated studio environment that really showcases more of my chops as a producer. The spirit of this album is in collaboration, and I'm thrilled to have some of my favorite artists on this album as collaborators."
Some of the notable guests on the record include Allen Stone, O.A.R., Louis Cole, Ben Rector, Brasstracks, and many others that help infuse their personality and a different style to each track.
Wong doesn't only shine on guitar, as he also handled the bass on some of the songs, while his frequent collaborators Seth Tackaberry and Yohannes Tona play on the remaining album.
