Description
Drum Drivers c'est l'essence de la complicité artistique entre deux beatmakers, LINKRUST et SLONE. Tous deux membres du collectif francophone Tour De Manège, c'est à distance qu'ils se suivent mutuellement. Jusqu'au jour où à un carrefour virtuel les deux acolytes se donnent rendez-vous pour un road trip musicale direction la Californie. Ce duo de beatmakers talentueux nous emmène au croisement de leurs influences au gré des rencontres durant leur voyage.
Douze titres pour la plupart rythmés par des drums au groove démoniaque. Douze escales teintées de Jazz, de Blues, saupoudrées de Folk et de Rock Psyché. Ajoutez-y des voix travaillées aux accents japonais, portugais, avec une touche de scratch et quelques solos de trompette enivrants, vous obtiendrez alors un album qui s'écoute comme on regarde un film, rythmé par des drums dynamiques, une basse aux allures funky, sur des ambiances à la fois chill et contemplatives.
Les deux producteurs français n'en sont pas à leur coup d'essai puisqu'ils comptent à leurs actifs des albums et collaborations remarquées US, anglaise et française. Awon, Tiff the Gift, K21, Yoshi Da Original ou encore Akhenaton et Napoléon da Legend sur le projet "S'fumato" de Aneeway Jones pour LINKRUST.
Kohndo, Audessey, Racecar, Rita J, Melodiq, Chima Anya ont collaboré avec SLONE.
Le projet "Drum Drivers" sera décliné en 2 volumes.
SLONE
First seen on the microphone ("Premices" 2011, "JazzHome" 2012) then behind the machines, it was with the "Daily Road Tape" trilogyreleased in 2013 that he refined his style and identity.
After participating in projects and collectives (Jazz Jousters & le Premier Sens) and two beat tapes in 2014 "Moods" & "Cycle", his first album "At The Boom Jazz Café" and his many renowned guests (Kohndo, Racecar , Audessey, Rita J, Melodiq, Chima Anya) places SLONE as a recognized beatmaker in the hip hop scene.
Productive artist, SLONE continues to work on the compilations of the English label Millennium Jazz Music and joins the French-speaking team of beatmakers Tour De Manège.In 2018, he produced a joint album with English rapper Chima Anya
"People Forget" and three volumes of "The Nap" with his "Jbro" Kayo via the labels Millennium Jazz Music / Albatros Music.
In 2020 Slone produced a new album entitled "Soul Series" in vinyl format with a crownfunding campaign via the Diggers Factory platform.

LINKRUST
Considered a swiss army knife of hiphop by his homies,"Linkrust can rap, scratch, sound mix, sound design, make beats and cook the best pizzas since 2011".
In 2013 he worked on his first solo project wich will becomea diptych: "drive me back to djakarta" and "drive me back to abidjan".These 2 albums launched him on the international scene with a bunch of featuring such as Tiff the gift (Don't sleep record) or K21 (golden era record). He drop few singles with labels Hobo Truffle, Golden Era record, Don't sleep record (USA).
In 2016 he produce a collab album called Moon Beams with US rapper Awon,released on Vinyl-Digital label and appears on Tiff the gift album "it gets greater later". At the same time he keeps producing instrumental albums with another diptych "Gone mad" and "Gone for good", plus lately, few beat tapes call Drop a verse to this vol 1 & 2 and rap EPs "Zone de confort" and "Zone de turbulence".
As a hiphop artist, Linkrust remains an underground guy who can drop free tracks or beat battle submission on his soundcloud.
