Self- taught lyricist Dana Bernard, known as Aza Lineage was born in Kingston 7, Jamaica. Aza was influenced by Reggae and Dancehall Music from an early age via Serious Gold, a Sound System that was owned and operated by her cousins. “My style of music is a combination of Reggae, Dancehall, Hip Hop, R&B, Revival and Sound System Culture", drawing great inspiration from Dennis Brown, Bounty Killer, Beenie Man and The Fugees. Her way of "honoring and continuing the works and the legacy of Reggae and Dancehall‘s movers and shakers, is about reaching out and making heartical connections", she claims, by manifesting and spreading "total self awareness, self acceptance and self love".
