Gill Landry

États-Unis

Gill Landry is a two-time Grammy award-winning singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and visual artist. A Louisiana native turned west coast transplant, Gill cut his teeth for several years as a busker on the streets between New Orleans & the Pacific Northwest. After tramping around the country and immersing himself in the rich tapestry of American folk music, in 2004, he joined the Nashville outfit Old Crow Medicine Show. He worked with them from their van-and-trailer days to festival main stages, Grammy wins, and their induction into the Grand Ole Opry. In 2015, he parted ways with the band, dedicating himself entirely to his own writing and solo creative pursuits. Gill has released six solo albums on various record labels since 2007. Each album is a testament to his versatility and abilities as an adept and creative songwriter who's in it for the long haul. A lifer. He crafts his songs with an ever-evolving voice of his own, creating albums that feel both perennial and new. The musical styles on his albums can range widely drifting from the cinematic to deeply intimate and are often accompanied by a creme de la creme of his musician friends. With a million plus miles and a countless shows under his belt, Gill is a seasoned road dog. He's played far and wide at home and abroad and shared stages with an eclectic array of artists and friends over the years, including Laura Marling, Justin Townes Earle, Brandi Carlile, Mumford & Sons, Ben Harper, Michael Hurley, Bruce Hornsby, Warren Haynes, Andre Williams, Nathaniel Rateliff, to mention a few.
