Música Para Abrir el Cielo marks the long-awaited debut album by Venezuelan-American singer-songwriter maye. The album showcases her signature blend of indie-pop and Latin influences, wrapped in poetic lyricism and dreamy melodies. maye brings a deeply personal and ethereal sound to this project.
The album includes singles like “Yo Me Consiento” and “Peter Pan”, reflecting themes of self-love, nostalgia, and emotional growth. With 11 tracks spanning 34 minutes and 49 seconds, Música Para Abrir el Cielo invites listeners into a sonic space that feels both intimate and expansive—true to its title, “Music to Open the Sky”.
maye is a Venezuelan-born, Miami-raised, and LA-based singer-songwriter known for her bilingual blend of indie-pop, boleros, Caribbean rhythms, and New Wave. Her dreamy vocals and poetic writing have earned her a devoted global following and over 700 million streams to date.
She broke through with her hit “Tú”, and has since written for artists like Danny Ocean, DannyLux, and Paloma Mami. maye has performed on NPR’s Tiny Desk, appeared on Barack Obama’s Summer Playlist, and toured with The Marías and Faye Webster.
In June 2025, she released her debut studio album, Música Para Abrir El Cielo, and will embark on her first U.S. headlining tour this July.
