Sleepy Soldier finds Tanna pushing the boundaries of his creative expression while embracing a certain emotional complexity in his storytelling. The core message of the album is love, humanity, endurance. He likes to describe it as “human music” because it’s very honest about the span of emotions we all go through in a single day on this planet—all the sadness and disappointment and stress and also the joy.
