Where You’ll Be When the World Is Gone is Pretty’s second full-length album. “This is the first time we were able to make a record exactly how we want it to be,” Pretty’s Torin Craig says of the project, “We’ve always had tight budget and time constraints, but this time we had the freedom and support to really bring the band’s vision to life. It feels good”. The record’s apocalyptic intensity mirrors the current state of the world—strange luxuries amid global collapse and the urge to transcend a broken system. Questioning our dependence on escapism in the forms of drugs, nostalgia, and toxic spirituality, Where You’ll Be When the World Is Gone stares straight into our chaotic reality with despair and love in equal measure.
