Redream Chaos is Zoe Mead's stunning re-imagining of Dream Chaos, the debut album from her London dream-pop project, Wyldest.
Following-on from the success of her cover of Snow Patrol’s “You Could Be Happy” - #2 Shazam Chart, Top 20 iTunes Download Chart, nearly 3 million streams and counting - Mead spent time writing and developing production skills with UK indie legend Bill Ryder-Jones, honing her sound and further exploring the use of piano and more organic instrumentation.
A lo-fi reworking of Dream Chaos felt only natural. Mead holed herself up in her Greenwich studio, stripping-back yet breathing new life into the songs. Luciano Rossi (Idlewild and fellow-Hand In Hive records band Dama Scout) was called-in to add further production and piano expertise.
The result is a beautiful, heartfelt and poignant collection of recordings which display the exquisite tones of Mead's vocal and lay bear her ever-impressive songwriting and production skills; an area she relishes in a world dominated by male producers. Singles from the record have picked-up widespread support from NPR and KEXP in the States, to The i Newspaper, Clash and The Line Of Best Fit this side of the pond.
