Lausse the Cat is a British rapper and singer known for his jazz-soaked, melancholic sound and his enigmatic persona. Emerging in the late 2010s, he quickly gained a cult following with his debut EP The Girl, The Cat and The Tree, a dreamy blend of hip-hop, lo-fi textures and poetic storytelling. Lausse crafts his music through the voice of a feline alter-ego — a drifting, romantic, slightly tragic character navigating loneliness, escapism and the shadows of city life.
