ALEXANDRE DESTREZ aka RIVE GAUCHE
1995 was the first time Alexandre Destrez’s keyboards were heard on the album Boulevard de St Germain (F com), « Boulevard » elected Best «Dance» Album of the year by the UK press then the album "Tourist" (Blue Note), which sold 3 million copies throughout the world, rated N°1 jazz sales when is came out in the US and awarded 3 Victoires de la Musique in France.
 
Alexandre also collaborated with numerous artists on the French electro scene such as Shazz (Album nominated for the Victoires de la Musique), Dimitri From Paris, Martin Solveig (Album « Hedonist » nominated for the Victoires de la Musique), Oscar, Yass … 
 
And with Pop artists such as Overhead on Silent Witness album (ffff Télérama).
 
Today, Alexandre is carrying on with this Electro Jazz adventure with the first release of RIVE GAUCHE EP + Gilles Peterson & Simbad remixes the 26th of February 2016 on BBE Records (London).
 
He is backed up by his childhood friend, the DJ producer, David.H ( from OSCAR, ALABAMA 65 ... ) for composition, beats and arrangements, as well as by jazz musicians each with their own talents.
 
RIVE GAUCHE is a continuation of the « Saint-Germain-des-Prés » spirit with its very particular French Touch !
