Poordream's 'Ninetynine' was originally released on Chicago-based label Tympanik Audio in 2014. The CD version of the album was sold out within a year. Five years later and due to high demand from Poordream fans worldwide, we are setting up a fundraiser to make 'Ninetynine' available on vinyl for the first time. For this project to succeed, we need your help. Thanks to your contribution we will be able to cover the manufacturing costs of the vinyls, one of which will become yours! Thank you very much for your support, John.
From ambient, organic and cinematic to experimental sound sculpting with electronic means, Poordream masterfully blends real instruments and field recordings with digital textures and atmospheres in order to synthesize a unique mix of world and contemporary electronic music.
‘Ninetynine‘ reaches into the human consciousness, illuminating undiscovered aspects of the mind. Drawing inspiration from both ordinary city life as well as its hidden spots, Poordream layers complex beats alongside stark melodies in a work of art that is as unique as it is diversified. By combining elements of dreamy, atmospheric IDM, breakbeats and world music and expertly utilising the deep singing of cello strings, chopped up and arranged to constitute beatwork, Poordream has constructed a listening experience that is both gritty and ethereal.
