"What Do You See When You Dream?" is the first full-length release from After Osmosis, an instrumental post-rock group from Albuquerque, NM.  The 8-song, 35-minute LP evolved from a challenge guitarist A.J. McQuay issued to himself:  come up with a concept and write song titles first, then compose music to fit.  The song titles wound up forming a short poem, and we hope the songs tell you a story as you listen.

Des chansons de Serge Gainsbourg, l’auteur compositeur interprète majeur de la chanson française du XXème siècle, captées par et pour la radio sont reproduites ici sur vinyle. Du fameux Club d’Essai en 1958 aux Discoparades (1961 et 1962), Gainsbourg a toujours su trouver un mot pour annoncer ses chansons. On l’entend également interpréter une valse de Chopin au piano ou répondre avec beaucoup de timidité aux questions de Juliette Gréco qui l’avait repéré en 1959. Certaines de ses chansons sont déjà délicieusement coquines ou à double sens et pour la plupart, il s’accompagne au piano.

Songs from Serge Gainsbourg, the most iconic french singer-songwriter-composer of the twentieth century, recorded for and by the radio, now edited for the first time on vinyl records. From the well-known Club d’Essai of 1958 to the Discoparade shows of 1961 and 1962, Gainsbourg always found the right words to introduce his songs.
We can also hear him performing a waltz from Chopin on piano or shyly answering to Juliette Gréco’s questions, who had discovered him in 1959. Some of his songs were at that time already slightly naughty or equivocal.

The first track ‘Crazy’ reveal a soft, subtle and intoxicating melody. The song references to portraits of love and of life that excites us and upsets us.

‘Set Yourself Free’, a groovy and electro hymn, will conquer you with its positive and joyful vibes.

The track ‘Run’, undoubtedly pop, full of strength and warmth, brings up the idea of moving forward, which addresses with finess the boldness that the artist had to leave her friends, family and lifestle to come settle in Paris, France and rediscover her roots.

‘How It Goes’, leaves a wide space for Jessica’s airy voice, taking us through moments of doubts lived by the singer, while ‘Ragdoll’ braces with intensity a heartbreak provoked by love.

With 8 tracks, this album embarks the listener on a musical and emotional journey, and makes her, without a doubt, a new pop sensation for 2017.

Ray Charles, at the top of his art in 1961, henceforth referred to as Genius Ray, organizes his first european tour, meeting this new public for the first time. This vinyl record showcases a selection of his best tracks, duly remastered.
The audience gives a standing ovation to Ray Charles, his orchestra and the Raelets choir and one can feel the electric atmosphere all along the two sides of the record.
Concerning the 2 tracks "My Baby" and "What'd I Say", these are bonus tracks. They come from a live in 1962 in Stockholm.

This is my 10th album. 
In a way I'm going back to my roots and getting busy with some serious drumchoppery. Some have been asking for that. There's several new breaks on the album that haven't been used on D&B before. I think that's what D&B needs…well, that's an old grumpy junglist's opinion. 
I am the worst at describing music, especially my own, so I'm trying to say something to get some text in here. Uh. There's some more mellow stuff there as well (”Presence”), a downbeat number, ”Tribe 962”, with fancy septuplet hihat swing sections (or was it quantuplet?), and one of the tracks, ”The Fall”, is my dear tribute to the early dark Metalheadz sound that I miss and which contributed a lot to how I perceive D&B. Oh, and ”Paracosm” gets a sequel. 

So what's the title all about? When you grow up, it's good to realize that your mind does not necessarily have to control you. Good to realize it never stays silent, and it's incessantly telling you about things that are not well in its opinion, stirring you with its incessant drama. When you realize all that, you can ignore its noise and become more calm and focused as you age, and you'll want less in life (well, it's OK to want a lot of music gear). You just have to watch your mind from the distance and realize it's not controlling you.
