The Worldly’s Vinyl features 8 brand new tracks with numerous guest appearances throughout the course of the album. Musically, what sticks out the most is the incredible diversity K+Lab has been able to achieve. The predominant theme is certainly funk, generously mixed with hip hop and glitch, but there is a lot more going on under that surface. There's the title track “The Worldly’s” that sounds like a brilliant 21st century upgrade of vintage DJ Shadow productions back from the day. Or the pure dancefloor magic of “Chestnut,” a drum’n’bass track so flawless it will make people weep for the genre’s glory days. Or the insane 2 step-infused banger “Gunfight” featuring The PeaceKeepers... Ranging from bass heavy anthems to almost chilled out beats, there are hints of musical influences hidden in almost every track, which makes the listening experience more engaging and invites one to hit repeat as soon as the last track fades out.
